Tyvek® (泰維克)材料由美國杜邦公司DuPont™ 研發,結合了紙張、布匹及塑料薄膜的優點,具有輕薄、柔軟、防水、光滑且堅韌等特點,而以Tyvek® 製成的滅菌袋,不僅承襲了這些特性,使用上也更加優異。

絕佳的
微生物隔絕能力

Tyvek® 經過微粒穿透試驗 (ASTM F2638)、細菌挑戰試驗 (ASTM F1608) 驗證,證實其隔絕微粒與微生物的能力遠高於醫療紙,再加上 Tyvek® 滅菌袋「透氣不透水」的特性,使得滅菌後微生物不會隨著液體進入袋中而造成內容物的汙染。

孢子穿透試驗 (ASTM F1608):用以測定物質是否能夠有效阻抗細菌孢子穿透。 以106 cfu 挑戰完全不可穿透的對照品,此時微生物滲透為零,其菌落數量維持在 log10值為 6;而以相同方式挑戰測試包材,當該包材允許 10 cfu (log10=1) 穿透,則其微生物阻擋數 LRV (log reduction value) 為 5 (6–1= 5)。因此,當包材的LRV 越高,對微生物的抵抗力就越強。

Tyvek® 滅菌袋具備抗穿刺、抗拉扯、封口強度高等特點,適合用於包覆金屬器具、大型桶槽、尖銳物品與高度無菌需求的物件。與醫療紙相比,Tyvek® 滅菌袋結構完整性更佳,並且可有效降低因滅菌袋體內部水蒸氣壓力過高而造成袋體破損的風險。

由於Tyvek® 具連續、網狀並且交錯熔合的結構,故開啟時產塵極低;反觀醫療紙,其纖維為不連續的結構,極易在運輸、折疊、開啟時易產生灰塵微粒,進而汙染所包覆器械與無塵室,增加終端產品被汙染的風險。

封口更加確實

將Tyvek® 滅菌袋熱封,封口處融合後會呈現清澈透明的外觀,操作人員可確實判斷是否成功封口,進而確保滅菌袋內的無菌性。
